MS Engineer, £25-£30k, Swansea

 

The Role:

To ensure that machinery and equipment runs effectively and efficiently and to provide engineering support to all production equipment and working towards continuous improvement. Must be prepared to work shifts.

 

Duties:

  • Trouble shooting, maintenance and setting of high speed production equipment
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance of machinery
  • Checking and Calibrating instruments to ensure accuracy
  • Carrying out various projects as required
  • Consistently striving for Continuous Improvement
  • Maintaining stock control procedure on consumables & machine parts
  • Communicating with internal departments over engineering activity and progress#
  • Adhering to health & safety processes
  • Training and mentoring of apprentices
  • Carrying out building maintenance as required

 

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Knowledge of PLC electrical control systems
  • An awareness of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of high speed production equipment, pneumatic controls and circuitry,
  • Technical Problem Solving & Fault finding
  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Time Served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
  • Experience of maintenance & repair of high speed production equipment
  • Ability to work unsupervised

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experienced in the use of IT Microsoft Packages
  • Recognised academic qualification
  • Welding & Fabricating
  • Machine Shop Practices : Lathe Work, Milling
  • Experience of Working in a Clean Room Environment
